CBN oil – a cannabinoid with a lot of potential
CBN is a substance from the cannabis plant that is much less known than CBD and THC. However, CBN oil also has a number of very useful properties. We thought that was a good reason to tell you more about this type of cannabis oil, which is still unknown to many.
What is CBN?
CBN is the abbreviation of Cannabinol. The chemical formula of CNB is: C21H26O2.
Like CBD and THC, CBN occurs naturally in cannabis. However, freshly picked cannabis contains relatively little CBN. This is because CBN is created by oxidation of THC or THCA. This oxidation process mainly takes place after cannabis has been harvested. So the longer the cannabis is stored, the more CBN.
Effect of CBN
CBN is considered a mildly psychoactive substance. This is different from THC, which has a much stronger mind-altering effect. Therefore, you can rest assured: You cannot get high from CBN oil. In that respect, CBN oil is more similar to CBD oil. That won't get you high either.
You may have read elsewhere that CBN oil has a pain-numbing effect or that CBN oil helps with a good night's sleep. That may be correct, but unfortunately we cannot make any statement about this. We are not a medical website.
What we can do is explain how CBN oil works.
How does CBN oil work?
A few years ago, scientists discovered that the human body produces substances that are very similar to certain substances from the cannabis plant. That is why these substances are called endocannabinoids. The prefix endo- means body's own.
In addition, a system in the human body was discovered that responds to these endocannabinoids. This has been called the endocannabinoid system. That's a mouthful and that's why we abbreviate it here as ECS.
The ECS influences other body systems such as the immune system, muscles, skin and nervous system.
The ECS not only responds to the body's own endocannabinoids, but also to certain substances from the cannabis plant. We call these substances from the cannabis plant cannabinoids.
There are many cannabinoids, including well-known ones (e.g. CBD and THC) and lesser-known ones (e.g. CBN, CBG and CBC). Each cannabinoid has a different effect on the endocannabinoid system. And indirectly also on other body systems.
Entourage effect
However, there is more. It turns out that the presence of one cannabinoid influences the effect of another cannabinoid. We call this the entourage effect.
Of course, it is not the case that the presence of one cannabinoid causes another cannabinoid to suddenly have a completely different effect. It's more a matter of strengthening. In Jip and Janneke language:
The presence of substance A ensures that substance B has a greater effect in the body.

CBD Oil, CBD Flowers (CBD Cannabis) and all other CBD products from deonlinegigant.nl are a legal product and can therefore be sold and used (100% legal in the Netherlands and the EU).
this is because it does not contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is the substance from Hemp that causes you to get high. Because our CBD Oil contains less than 0.05% THC, it complies with laws and regulations and is 100% legal in the Netherlands and the EU
